The MWCares Foundation is the philanthropic arm of MW Logistics, LLC. We support our community by providing resources that enable individuals and groups within North Texas to meet current food and housing needs and ensure they have access to educational and economic opportunities. Through promoting community engagement and support, the MWCares Foundation also serves as a liaison with businesses to assist them in meeting the needs of the communities in which they provide goods and services.
This yearly event aims to feed thousands of families, providing each with food just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Each family served receives a holiday bird, fresh produce, plus pantry staples. The event brings together organizations, such as The Big Good, the Baptist Minister’s Union, as well as the North Texas and Tarrant Area Food Banks. Hundreds of volunteers also join the cause every year.
The MWCares Foundation provides assistance to young minority students seeking higher education. Partnering with area colleges, we are able to provide scholarships and internship programs to help driven students in growing their knowledge and providing them with a head start and a path for success.
The MWCares Foundation serves as a catalyst to unite organizations focused on helping the underserved in the North Texas area. With care for our community, we bring to the table our professional expertise, our resources and our relationships with corporations and non-profits who align with our social responsibility goals to magnify the impact in our community.
MWCares evolved out of MW Logistics’ community involvement. Realizing a larger need in the North Texas community, Mitchell and Pam Ward decided to establish a Foundation.
Mitchell and Pam both believe that giving back to the community is imperative to ensure that individuals have an opportunity to reach their full potential.
Watch as we worked with our wonderful partners to deliver food packages at the University of North Texas in Dallas. Thank you to all of the volunteers, clients, sponsor and families who made this possible. The positive impact of this year's Big Give touched around 80,000 people, about 6,000 families, with 1,000,001 pounds of food delivered. The event continues to grow every year with many organizations joining to amplify this success.
After a whole year of preparation, MWCares partners with Tarrant Area Food Bank, the Baptist Ministers Union, the Big Give of Fort Worth and the Good Year Cotton Bowl Classic to deliver food to thousands of families, just in time for Thanksgiving 2021.
